Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a great day we went out for breakfast spent the morning at Memory Grove then came home where chef Dad went all out and made one fabulous dinner! I am so blessed to be a mom to such great children!




Easter

We spent Easter with Granny and Grandpa Glen in Manti. It turned out to be a fantastic day, delicious food and family all around. This year Sarah was really into dying and hunting for eggs. She even continued to hunt for a eggs periodically for a few days after Easter. Noah and Erika are getting so big and they were great helpers. 





Erika's Dance Recital Season 2012

Erika's Birthday!

Erika is growing up so fast on February 28, 2012 she turned 10!!! It was a day full of fun and laughter. For her birthday she wanted to re-do her bedroom and make it more grown up. We rearranged furniture and got her new decor - it was so fun! I am a proud mom!

Valentines

I have not posted in a long time. So, this is the beginning of catching up.
We had a wonderful Valentines! My little helpers did lots of work and ate lots of candy!

Happy 11 Noah!

Noah had a wonderful birthday he had a friend sleepover, family over for Dr. Pepper Cake, smoked ribs for dinner, and shooting skeet with the boys :) Noah has also earned Webelo's badge and his Arrow of Light!

Dr. Pepper Texas Chocolate Cake (from Dinosaur BBQ)
The Cake:
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup Dr. Pepper
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
The Frosting:
3/4 cup butter-flavored vegetable shortening
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cups sifted confectioners sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened coca powder
1/4 cup Dr. Pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flower two 9" pans. Sift together dry ingredients. Meanwhile pour the Dr. Pepper into a saucepan with the chocolate chips and heat on low until chips are melted. Set aside to cool. Combine the liquid ingredients and mix on medium speed for about one minutes. Add the melted chocolate chips and Dr. Pepper. mix a minute more. Drop the mixer to low and gradually add the dry ingredients. Pop the speed back up to medium and beat two more minutes. Divide batter between two pans. Bake 30 - 35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and flip cakes only cooking rock. Once cool, whip up frosting.

Welcome 2012

Our New Year's Eve party was filled with jammies movies and snacks. We set our goals and we are ready to welcome 2012!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011 was fantastic with family and friends all around. We were able to spend Christmas day with Aunt Krista and Uncle Ben. We were also able to meet up with Granny and Grandpa Glen for a Christmas Eve lunch, Have Grandpa Mack and Grandma Cindy over for a after Christmas visit, and go to the movies with Aunt Lindsay and the cousins. We are very blessed and spoiled :)
