For the 24th we headed down to Monticello for a quick trip. I had wanted to get lots of pictures of the kids playing out at Dodge Point, but I left the camera in the car. Then Erika had a small fall and got some yucky barb wire cuts luckily it was our tough little Erika one minute of crying and done. We were also able to enjoy the parade and the festivities in the park. It was fun to go back after years of being away and have the celebration be the same. I was disappointed with the Navajo Tacos a highlight of the 24th they have gone down hill. I'm going to have to learn how to make them for myself!

Baseball Stars!
Noah and Erika both played baseball this year. It was quite the season we were rained out of lots of games and practices, but overall it was fun! Eli helped Erika pick out a pink bat and every time the other boys on the team would use it the boys in the dug out would chant "pink power". Noah's crowning moment this season was hitting and making it to 3rd base; plus he was able to be a part of a couple double plays while outfield.

School Awards
It's been school award time around our house and due to be blessed with very bright children; we enjoy award time. Josh received certificates from the Junior high for being on the Honor Roll all but one quarter, for his perfect attendance, and being punctual. Noah and Erika both earned the "Soaring Eagle Award" from elementary school. They have to be in the top percentage of their class as well participate in extra activies like the science fair to be eligible. We took the camara but due to terrable lighting the pictures didn't turn out. We are so fortunate to have smart children who are able to acheve greatness.
